YouTube sure has become a gigantic jukebox- and a free one at that. The tribute album loving YouTube channel called I Heart Tributes recently posted one of the cuts from the No Doubt cover CD that Vitamin Records hired Jetpack to create, which they naturally titled Surfin' to No Doubt. That album features a lot of fun noises: fuzz bass, guitars sounding like Moogs, and reverb controls set to "extra secret reverb". What's a bit odd about finding this video was clicking the link to buy the CD. It goes to iTunes and lists the CD as by Jetpack, or rather: Jet Pack. Dividing the name is not the odd part as that happens a lot. Vitamin Records' wacky line of tribute CDs always credited the acts as "various artists", but at iTunes this directly names Jetpack (probably because there is only one band on the entire CD) although the album cover makes the band anonymous. Now everyone knows who made it...go tell your friends.
